Our Rotary Club started this project for the homeless and transitional families in our community. It is a wonderful experience bringing these families together with our family of Rotary.
Special Visitors
The event begins with a special visit from Mrs. Claus (Rickie Roark) who reads her rendition of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas." Next is the big fellow himself (Paul Behringer).
Gifts from Santa
Each child is called by name and receives a gift from Santa - all patiently waiting until everyone has a gift before opening begins.
Open your gifts!
Our Rotary club members have gone out and purchased these gifts especially for each child.
The Santa Store
One of the unique parts of this party is that each child is able to go "shopping" at the Santa Store - this is the highlight of the day as the kids can purchase gifts for the parents or guardians - to bring home and give on Christmas Day.
Family Photos
Each family takes a photo with Santa - which is printed and mounted in a special keepsake card.
Interact Club
The Interact Club at Casa Grande High School are the elves who make all the children feel welcome.
Rotarians at Work
All of our club members participate: at the event itself, at the wrapping party, or by purchasing a gift for a child.
Happy Holidays!
A few of the children leaving with their gifts and their presents for Mom and Dad. Thanks to Lane and Rooster Run for providing the space.
